I hate writing a bad review. But they say the water is kept at 85 degrees, that is hard to believe. All four of the girls stayed in the hot tub area that was over crowded due to all the other kids that were wanting to stay warm. It really is a pity and it was a waste of a lot of money. It is a great idea, warm the water up a little more and keep the place a little tidier and it can be a great place. Eating and staying here is expensive, which isn't bad if it attracts clean people who you are not worried about your kids being around, but the facility need to keep the water warmer and keep it tidy.
Also, we were looking forward to the story times for the children, but they are at 8 and 9 o'clock at night. My children's bedtime is 7 o'clock so this did not work out for us.
It is fun to play all the quests and walk around to all the different floors. I have a blast in the Autumn and I get to go trick or treating with my family and friends. Story time is the same as always but it is cool. The only thing I would say is if when people are at story time to turn up the forest. When I went last I couldn't hear most of it and I was a little disappointed
This place is overpriced, crowded and NOT good for younger children. Our children are three and four years old and the water park offers very little for this age range. There was one small area for this age range and it was overcrowded and chaotic. There was no staff manning the slides so while I'm trying to teach my children manners, other kids are pushing and cutting in front of them in line.
We were invited to a birthday party. It was a very busy weekend and everything was late. The food was delivered late and it was challenging buying time with the little kiddos waiting at the restaurant while knowing that the pools await. We also were not set aside any space at the pool area until late in the day. But having said all that, the kids had a blast.
The other thing that deserves a mention is the room we stayed in. The Kid Camp suite was adorable. For the price though, they could do a better job stocking it. They say it accommodates 7 but in the morning we realized there was only 2 powdered creamer packets and 4 sugars for the room (barely enough for 2 people to have 1 coffee. Most hotels you stay in today (that are much cheaper) have Keurigs in the room or at least some tea bags and creamers. Also the in-room toiletries were sparse and the TV channels were VERY limited.
All in all, I was pretty disappointed in our experience. Maybe if your children are a little older it's more fun.
I would like to say that the staff was very nice, well trained and helpful. If I could give them 5 stars, I would. Everyone from the maids to the valet to the restaurant staff was WONDERFUL. They all greet you sincerely and are eager to help.
My family has been to this location 3 times now. My daughter absolutely loves it and the grown ups have just as much fun as she does. This is a family resort so plan to spend a little extra or plan ahead and bring your own picnic. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I definitely suggest you take your family for some water park fun.
