I am rating express South as I have never parked at express North. I am giving one star more as a relational ranking than an absolute one as I am a frequent business flyer with 2 or more trips per month. I began using express as soon as it opened, and it was amazing. The price was something like 6 dollars a day, and there seemed to always be a shuttle waiting for you as you stepped out of the airport, or stepped out of your car. However the quality of the shuttle availability, and the sporadic quality of the drivers, now leads me to writing this review. In the last year, I have had to wait for shuttles for more than 20 minutes several times, and the normal wait ( especially at the terminal) is 10 MINUTES.Sad state of affairs as the price has sky rocketed and the quality declined. So I finally decided to write a review after thinking about it for a long time. Of course today I waited 32 minutes for a shuttle to pick me up at the Eastern terminal, and this was after seeing several North buses drive by and they kept telling me a South bus was coming. I ended up having to call airport operations.
I would opt for a private park n ride but they're mostly full except for the exorbitant prices. Just when it seemed I had gathered enough info to use the South Express lot early Thanksgiving AM, a list of the hours pops up - not sure how that happened. The lot is open 24 hours almost every day but for Thanksgiving it says, "hours may differ." Calling the posted phone # was no help either. My taxes pay for this "service?"
Critical information is practically inaccessible. Procedures for using the Express lot are not explained anywhere. Only after searching for 30 minutes did I discover from a customer's review that it's necessary to call for a shuttle when you're ready. Apparently, even then it's a long wait.
In general, if you have the money or can expense it I highly recommend parking in the Express lots.
Wait time was a little long, we watched other buses come and go at least three times to the one bus we waited for. Express South.
So far the better parking experience in DFW. Drivers have always been courteous, respectful, and timely.
It was fast, kinda expensive, but convenient. Don't loose the ticket they give you. We were in the south lot, it's under an over pass. The spaces were plenty big enough for my truck.
