Poorly maintained. No playground at all. Told the attendant and asked for directions. Which led to a washed out gravel pit beside the barren picnic tables. Will never return nor waste my time and money.
Love this place. Get in touch with mother nature
Rockledge Park is a little piece of the lake with some swimming areas. It is mostly designed more for picnics than true swimming. The "beach" is comprised of rocks, and as with any lake in Texas, broken glass. The rocks are really neat, but if your plan is to take a flying leap, please be very careful. The murky water makes it hard to see more than a few inches deep, and it is next to impossible to see what is below or how deep the water is. The "cliffs" are no more than about 10-12 feet high, and fairly difficult to climb. If your goal is to just swim, it is great, but don't expect a "beachy" experience. There are only about 15-20 picnic areas, and fill up pretty quickly.
A very quiet park by the lake. We had an awesome afternoon.
Simply my favorite place to be, catch some sun, kayak a little, go for a swim in a lake.
