We love crackle barrel and have never had such a bad experience as today. It took one hour and a half to get our food and not even once did the manager come and apologize. Not even a discount. The food was semi warm. When we informed the waitress we were canceling pur order, she brought the food out. We should have gone with our instinct and left after 45 minutes. But we were trying to give them a chance. Never again will we eat there when vacationing at great wolf lodge!
So sad to find a place that's usually good has gone way downhill. Their food typically has no flavor. The only thing I like at Cracker Barrel any more is the Apple cider, and they don't always serve that in the frosty mug anymore. The chicken fried steak and chicken are inedible. This is my last visit for breakfast, too.
Always worth the wait. Good down home comfort food and fast friendly service.
I mean, he expected me to sit down and wait for more food? At that point I was already mad and asked for my check so he went and got the waiter who game me my check and said sorry about that. I don't understand how they can clear a table off when the check is still there. I assume they thought I walked out without paying. I'm not even the type of person to write a review but this whole situation really ruined their name in my book. Which I'm sure they could care less anyways. Never going to this location again!
The food at this location was just O.K., but it might have been what I ordered. The waitress was not helpful nor look like she didn't want to be there. She passed by several times without even acknowledging us that she would be there in a min. We had to go get her for drink orders. By then we switch seats. The new waitress was very helpful and when the hostess found out about what happened, she seemed eager for us to bring it to the managers attention. Said we weren't the only ones. SAD, because they are known for their happy staff.
Usually I never have a bad experience here but today was disappointing. My son and I went in to eat some breakfast and were almost done with our meal when the waiter brought me my check and said no rush, take your time. Just then my son needed to use the restroom so I left the receipt on my table face down and went. When we came back less then 5 minutes the cleaned our table and my receipt was gone. I was like... what the heck! I informed someone who I thought was the manager and he offered to Bring me more food , which I didn't not want. Lol
