While looking for a newer used car for my mother. I found a nice Rav4 online at Texas Toyota of Grapevine. The price was very competitive so I called to ensure that they had it before we drove up. I spoke with Carl in used cars and asked if they still had it. He politely asked me to hold on while he verified that it is actually still on the lot. Which I appreciate since it is quite a bit of a drive for us to Grapevine. Once arriving the car was waiting ready for us to test drive. It was a quick and easy decision for us since it was a very clean car and drove well. We did the whole back and forth for the trade in value of her old car as dealers never value your old car as much as you do. But they ended up getting extremely close to what she wanted for it. We worked with Alex for financing. He was very thorough explaining all of the paperwork. We initially declined the extended service plans as my mother is retiring and needed to keep her payments to match her budget. Alex was able to get a protection package that would cover her enough but without going to far over her budget. When getting the keys to leave with the new car. Earlier I had hassled Carl about the gas light being on. He had said that they don't usually fill up cars but he would see if he could put some in it so we wouldn't have to stop at any gas stations on the way home as it was already late. When getting into the car. I asked him if he remembered to hook us up with a little gas to get home. He apologized and said he had forgotten. But as my mom started the car he pointed out that he had actually filled it all the way up. Very smooth Carl. So if your looking to purchase a used Toyota go see Carl. This was one of my most pleasant car buying experiences.
Honestly. No other dealer will treat you better. Great service and outstanding offers!! First time buyer and they got me to by a brand new 2018 Corolla. I will for sure come back here for another car in future.
I declined to see it because I did not want to see it. The salesman asked me to wait one more time and went inside. He came backed with the manager and told me that the manager wanted to thank me for coming and visiting.
They suggested a couple other cars that were not what I was looking and I agreed to see one of them. They went to go pull it around. After awhile no one came back and I got up to leave. As I was leaving I saw the salesman who told me he pulled up a different car that he had talked about, but not the one I agreed to look at. He told me the manager had spoken to me and that I agreed to see the different one which was not true.
Great experience overall. They worked with me to get exactly what I wanted in a vehicle and negotiated a fair price. We ended up being there pretty late so they even through in an extra year of warranty coverage for our time. I'd gladly work with them again.
I wasted valuable gas and time that I could've used viewing other cars.
The manager didn't "thank" me at all and bluntly asked me,"So you don't want to see anything else?" I told him no. He suggest a different car that was twice my budget and I told him I didn't want any extra unwanted debt. He asked,"You don't want to finance the rest?" I again told him no and restated my budget. He shook my hand and I left.
This was very discouraging because I didn't feel that anyone there was willing to work with what I was asking for or even mentioning that the car I scheduled a test drive for had been sold.
Unfortunately I had a terrible experience here. I called to have an appointment set up to see a very specific car. The salesman set the time and when I got there, he wasn't there to meet me at the set time and sent someone else. I sat and waited for this new salesman for a while and once he finally came, he said the car I inquired about and set the appointment for was already sold. I got up to leave and they wanted to show me other cars. I told them my budget that I would not waiver on. They kept pushing for me for a higher budget, but I declined.
Great, friendly, fast and honest service. I had a great car buying experience, I love my car and will return in the future. They really listened to my needs in a vehicle and accommodated everything I mentioned. They also did not push me into anything I didn’t want. I recommend them!
